Edmonton Oilers: For much of last season, Ryan Strome was Edmonton’s third line center. While I believe that Strome is an excellent middle six forward, I’m not so sure he’s best used at center. So, I’m going to take a look at how his numbers compare to other 3rd line centers. Using those comparisons, we will able to see if the Edmonton Oilers would be wise to add another center.
I’m also going to look at these players, and their respective cap hits as Strome is an RFA this summer. Using players of similar ilk who have recently (within 1-3 years) resigned with their respective clubs, We should also be able to find a ballpark for Strome’s new contract.
