Edmonton Oilers Halt Devils in OT for Two Straight Wins

New Jersey opened the scoring about five minutes into the first period on a goal from Brian Boyle. The Devils also dominated 12-7 in shots through the first period to have the Oilers trailing 1-0 at the end of the opening frame.

Anton Slepyshev tied it up early in the second on a feed from Milan Lucic and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, but Drew Stafford scored in the latter minutes of the second to give the Devils the lead again heading into the third.

Milan Lucic evened the score yet again with his third of the season three minutes into the final period of regulation to send the game to overtime, where the Oilers won the game on Leon Draisaitl tally from Connor McDavid and Kris Russell.
