Gryba will make around $900,000 per year and will get to remain with the Oilers. Edmonton signed Gryba to a try-out last season and later rewarded him a one-year extension.
Though the 29-year-old isn’t a stand-out defenceman, Gryba is a stable extra blueliner and shows tremendous skill. The Oilers have a solid defence corps set up for next season but did need more support on the backend, especially on the right side.
In 40 games with Edmonton this season, Gryba recorded two goals and six points and was a minus-5.
