EDMONTON — That shopping list that Craig MacTavish cobbled together two years ago is not getting any shorter.
Remember when the Edmonton Oilers general manager thought he had checked off the box next to goaltenders after signing Ben Scrivens to an extension and securing Viktor Fasth in a trade?
Well, goaltending is back on the list.
He also moved out Jeff Petry and David Perron during the course of the season, replacing neither with comparable players.
Additionally, he attached the interim label to Todd Nelson’s head coaching title after he’d fired Dallas Eakins in December, so there’s that to tend to as well.
