Edmonton Oilers centre Connor McDavid has been named NHL Rookie of the Month for March, scoring five goals and 16 points in 15 games.
McDavid registered at least a point in 11 out of 15 contests, including five multi-point games. The 2015 first-overall pick also tied a season-high seven-game point streak in March and became the first player to take home Rookie of the Month honors in back-to-back months since Ryan Nugent-Hopkins in 2011-12, and McDavid is also the first player to win it three times overall since Alex Ovechkin in 2005-06.
