Edmonton Oilers Connor McDavid Heading to Condors

The Edmonton Oilers are sending rookie Connor McDavid down to the Bakersfield Condors during the All-Star break. Before you freak out, he is not there permanently, just for the break. He will only skate with the team, and he will not play any games.

McDavid, 18, has 12 points in 13 games with the Oilers this season, before breaking his clavicle in early November. Having undergone surgery and fully recovering, McDavid is expected to finally return to the lineup on Feb. 2, when the Oilers take on the Columbus Blue Jackets.

He participated in today’s Oilers skill competition, dominating in the accuracy shooting contest and proving his worth out there on the ice.
