The Edmonton Oilers have had a productive off-season so far. They have cleaned out front office, hired Todd McLellan, drafted Connor McDavid, traded for Cam Talbot and signed Andrej Sekera and Mark Letestu.
However, they have not made a new signing since early July. Can this Edmonton team, which has done so much to start the off-season, be done with free agency and expect to do well this upcoming season?
The Oilers’ biggest concern is pretty obvious: a struggling defense. Over 90 percent of the Oilers roster holds a negative +/-, and not only that, the Oilers allow too many goals.
