Chicago Blackhawks winger Patrick Kane is reportedly under police investigation in Hamburg, N.Y., outside Buffalo.
“We are aware of a police investigation and are following the developments,” the NHL said in a statement. A league spokesperson would not comment outside of the statement.
Citing two law enforcement sources, the Buffalo News reported Thursday that a local woman has accused Kane of sexual assault. Hamburg police did not immediately respond to phone calls from the National Post. The Erie County district attorney’s office declined to comment on the matter.
