The Edmonton Oilers called a timeout last night with around 17 seconds to go in the period. They kept the puck in the offensive zone, looking for just one more goal. With three seconds to go, Connor McDavid took a shot off a feed from Taylor Hall. He scored, and the arms went off. The sirens went off, along with the lights. The ref signaled it was a goal, but when he saw Jonathan Quick‘s glove covering the puck, he quickly changed his mind, waiving it off.
The goal went under review and was shown on LA FOX Sports from two different angles: above the net and behind the net.
