SAN JOSÉ, Costa Rica (EMUEagles.com) — Eastern Michigan University men's track and field sophomore Payne Wylie (Saskatchewan, Canada-Colonsay School) represented the Canadian National Team at the Pan American U20 Championships in San José, Costa Rica Friday through Sunday, July 19-21. The Saskatchewan, Canada native competed individually in the 110-meter hurdles while also running the third leg of Team Canada's 4x400-meter relay.
On Friday, Wylie finished fifth in the 110 hurdles competition, running to a personal-best mark of 13.47 (90cm). The effort bested his semifinal performance by .36 seconds and topped competitors from both Canada and Brazil.
