Wrestling's 2015-16 Season Ends on Day Two of NCAA Championships

NEW YORK CITY (EMUEagles.com) - The Eastern Michigan University wresting team concluded their 2015-16 season on day two of the 2016 NCAA Wresting Championships today, March 18 at Madison Square Garden. The Eagles had one grappler remaining in the field, redshirt junior Nicholas Barber (Cleveland, Ohio-St Edwards), who was in the consolation rounds of the 149 lbs weight class. Despite a valiant effort, he was defeated in his lone match of the day.

Facing No. 16 seeded Patricio Lugo of Edinboro, Barber held a 3-0 lead late in the bout, but he was caught by the Edinboro wrestler and pinned at the 6:03 mark.
