The Eastern Michigan wrestling team defeated Cleveland State, 38-12, and then fell to Indiana, 25-12 as they kicked off their home schedule with a tri-dual on Saturday, Dec. 11.
Redshirt freshman Noah Gonser dominated the day as he won both of his matches including a win over no. 17 ranked Elijah Oliver of Indiana. He forced a fall against Cleveland State and a 7-3 decision against Oliver.
Sa’Darian Perry picked up a win and fell during his time at the 133 weight class. The redshirt freshman forced fall against CSU and lost in a 4-2 decision to Indiana.
