Women's Golf In Sixth After Day One of Rio Verde

RIO VERDE, Ariz. (EMUEagles.com) – After the first day of action at the Rio Verde Invitational, the Eastern Michigan University women's golf team is in fourth at the 18-team tournament. The Eagles shot a first round 303 and have four players inside the top-27 spots on the par 72, 6,001-yard White Wing Golf Course.

Kennesaw State is atop the leaderboard at two-under 286, five strokes ahead of Xavier. KSU's Bella Kil fired a six-under 66 to the lead, while teammate Caitlyn Campbell added a 67 for second.

How It Happened
Freshman Kyleigh Dull (Fremont, Ohio-Lakota) opened the tournament up a three-over 75 to tie for 19th after the first round.
