CLEVELAND, Ohio (EMUEagles.com) -- The No. 24 Eastern Michigan University women's cross country team landed 12 student-athletes on the Academic All-Mid-American Conference Team, the league announced Friday, Nov. 18.
The Eagles led the conference with 12 selections, while Central Michigan came in second with 10 selections. Behind the Chippewas, Kent State totaled nine, and Bowling Green had eight to round out the top-four.
The Academic All-MAC honor is for a student-athlete who has excelled in athletics and academics. To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests for that particular sport.
