INDIANAPOLIS (EMUEagles.com) -- The No. 25 Eastern Michigan University women's cross country team received an at-large bid to the upcoming NCAA Championships, today, Nov. 11, the NCAA announced. The honor comes one day after the Eagles took home a fourth-place finish at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional, Nov. 10.
This news is just a year removed from last year's announcement of the team's trip to the NCAA's, which served as just the second time in program history the team qualified to the national championships. Additionally, the Eagles raced to a program-best ninth place in last year's competition, which was the highest placement the team has ever had in the national event.
