THREE RIVERS, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University women's cross country team topped Western Michigan University at the George Dales Invitational in Three Rivers, Mich. Friday, Sept. 7. EMU finished the 5k with all nine runners within the top-15, including four in the top-five, closing out the meet with a team score of 19 points.
Senior co-captain Sydney Meyers (Zionsville, Ind.-Zionsville) took the individual title and led the Eagles with a time of 17:20.1. Fellow co-captain and redshirt senior Natalie Cizmas (Clinton Twp., Mich.-Chippewa Valley) followed close behind, crossing in 17:30.
