YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University women's basketball fought valiantly, but ultimately came up short, 66-56, in a Mid-American Conference battle against in-state foe Western Michigan University tonight, Feb. 24, inside Ypsilanti's Convocation Center.
Although EMU suffered a tough loss, it was still a special night for the team, which hosted its annual 'Play4Kay' game to bring awareness to the fight against breast cancer and help raise money for the Kay Yow Cancer Fund.
With the result, Eastern (10-7, 7-5 MAC) drops to 3-5 on the season in its home games.
