EPALINGES, Switzerland (EMUEagles.com) – Eastern Michigan University men's golfer Philippe Weppernig (Lucerne, Switzerland-Kantonsschule Alpenquai Luzern (Owens C.C.)) has been selected to play in the 2016 European Amateur Team Championship, July 5-9, at the Golf de Chantilly course just outside of Paris, France. Weppernig will represent his home country of Switzerland in the tournament.
In his first season donning the Green and White, Weppernig appeared in eight tournaments for the Eagles during the 2015-16 campaign. The Lucerne, Switzerland native averaged a score of 75.96 throughout the season, which comes out to an average of a four-over par.
