YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – Eastern Michigan University baseball student-athlete Daniel Warkentin (Leamington, Ontario-Leamington District (Parkland)) was named as an Academic All-District selection, the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) announced Thursday, May 12.
More specifically, Warkentin has earned a spot on the NCAA Division I First Team, for District 5, which includes all eligible institutions in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, and Ohio.
The senior earned the honor for the first time in his career, and became the second EMU player honored in as many years after Mike Monahan got the nod a season ago.
