ROCHESTER, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) --The Eastern Michigan University volleyball team could not overcome a dynamic Golden Grizzlies' offense Sunday, Sept. 5, falling on the road to Oakland University in three sets (20-25, 21-25, 15-25) in the Golden Grizzlies Invitational finale.
The non-conference loss moved Eastern Michigan to 2-3 on the season, while OU improved to 2-3 overall.
Redshirt sophomore Raeven Chase (Toronto, Ontario, Canada-Michael Power St. Joseph Catholic) finished with nine kills on the day to lead the Eagles' attack and finished with a hitting percentage of .333 (9-3-18). EMU got 17 digs from sophomore Kamryn Stilwell (Parma, Ohio-Padua Franciscan) to pace them defensively.
