YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) - Eastern Michigan University senior Mike Van Hoeven (Paw Paw, Mich.-Paw Paw) has been named to the Rimington Trophy Watch List, which is presented annually to the nation's top college center, Wednesday, Oct. 14.
Van Hoeven, who earned the honor for the first time, is one of seven Mid-American Conference centers named to the 90-man watch list.
Earlier this season, Van Hoeven earned fourth team preseason All-MAC honors from Athlon Sports. Named to the 2019 Academic All-District® Football Team by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA), he is just the third EMU football player to collect the honor in multiple seasons.
