YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) - Eastern Michigan University recognizes junior swimmer Tosh Kawaguchi (Cary, N.C.-Cary) who was named the CollegeSwimming.com Swimmer of the Week for the Mid-American Conference for his performance against Oakland University, Saturday, Nov. 11. This is the second time Kawaguchi has earned the accolade this season, having previously been awarded it for the period ending Oct. 16.
Bringing in a meet-high 22 points, Kawaguchi led the Eagles in their 193-107 win over Oakland last weekend. After starting the meet with a third-place finish in the 200 medley relay, Kawaguchi touched in second in the 100 backstroke with a time of 49.
