YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) - Three members of this seasons Eastern Michigan University swimming and diving teams will be competing at the 2016 Olympic Swimming Trials in hopes of representing the United States at the Rio Olympic Games, Aug. 5-21. Senior Andrew Henry (Garner, N.C.-West Johnson), junior Cole Bateman (Hutchinson, Minn.-Hutchinson), and junior Alexis Mitcheltree (Moon Twp., Pa.-Moon Area) have all qualified to compete at this year's trials, June 26-July 3, in Omaha, Neb.
Henry, the reigning Mid-American Conference Outstanding Swimmer of the Year and 2016 NCAA qualifier, will compete in the 100 and 200 freestyle.
