TEMPE, Ariz. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University tennis team earned a 2023 Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-Academic Team award, while five individuals claimed ITA Scholar-Athlete honors, the association announced July 10.
The team accumulated a 3.512 GPA during the spring and boasts a 3.525 cumulative GPA. The award marks the fourth consecutive year that Eastern Michigan has attained ITA All-Academic Team recognition.
"I am very proud of the tennis team for being recognized by the ITA for their academic accomplishments throughout the course of the year," added Head Coach Steve Schram. "The overall team grade point average for the spring semester was above a 3.
