Tennis Closes Non-Conference Play With 4-3 Win over Cleveland State

YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University tennis team defeated Cleveland State University, 4-3, March 11 at the Chippewa Club to secure the team's 10th victory of the season. The win marks the first time EMU has recorded consecutive 10+ win seasons since the 2005-06, 2006-07 seasons.

"This was a battle from beginning to end," began Head Coach Jayson Wiseman. "We did a good job of starting fast and clinching the doubles point, and followed up by doing just enough to get the win. Majda, Isabelle, and Julia all came from behind to get singles wins in a really critical match before we begin MAC play.
