YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) - Eastern Michigan University senior Dakota Tallman (LaGrange, Ohio-Elyria Catholic) has been named a preseason candidate for the Rimington Trophy, which is presented annually to the nation's top college center, according to an announcement by the Rimington Trophy committee Wednesday, May 30.
Tallman, who earned the honor for the second consecutive year, is one of six Mid-American Conference centers named to the 57-man watch list. The veteran offensive lineman, started in all 12 games throughout the season. He was part of an overhauled offensive line that ranked second in the MAC and 28th nationally in the fewest sacks given up in 2017.
