CLEVELAND, Ohio (EMUEagles.com) - The Eastern Michigan University swimming and diving team saw 14 of its student-athletes named to the Academic All-Mid-American Conference team, the league office announced today, June 17.
Eastern Michigan has placed 10-or-more student-athletes on the Academic All-MAC team for the seventh-straight season, dating back to 2014-15.
Eight seniors received the honor for the third time in their careers: Bethany Berger (Batavia, Ohio-Glen Este), Hunter Ignasiak (Rockford, Mich.-Rockford), Carlee Jones (Edgewood, Ky.-Notre Dame Academy), Abby Rapien (Cincinnati, Ohio-Taylor), Micaela Schempf (Bowling Green, Ohio-Bowling Green), Meike Staffeldt (Niedersachsen, Germany), Ali Staver (Bettendorf, Iowa-Pleasant Valley), and Avrie Stewart (Menominee, Mich.
