COLUMBUS, Ohio (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University swimming and diving team completed the first day of the Ohio State Winter Invitational with five swimmers setting new season-best standards on the opening day.
Starting in preliminaries, freshman Morgan Booth (Fishers, Ind.-Fishers) and sophomore Anna Stephan (San Diego, Calif.-Scripps Ranch) bested their 500 yard freestyle marks by at least three seconds. Booth finished in 4:56.76, while Stephan clocked in at 5:06.59. Both would go on to rewrite their records just hours later, tapping the wall in 4:56.46 and 5:05.
