MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University men's basketball program earned its third win in the last four Mid-American Conference games, downing in-state rival Central Michigan, 73-70, Tuesday, Feb. 11 inside CMU's McGuirk Arena. The victory is the Eagles' (13-11; 3-8 MAC) first road MAC win of the season.
The Chippewas (13-10; 6-4 MAC) cut the Eagles' lead to two (71-69) with 8 ticks left in the game, but redshirt junior Ty Groce (Ypsilanti, Mich.-Lincoln) and classmate Noah Morgan (Mount Vernon, N.Y.-Mount Vernon (Northwest Florida State)) split a pair of free throws each to seal the 73-70 victory.
