Softball Stunned in Walk-Off Loss to Michigan State

EAST LANSING, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – A seventh inning rally stunned the Eastern Michigan University softball team at Secchia Stadium Wednesday, April 27, as Michigan State University came back to win, 3-2, on a walk-off single. The Eagles (18-27, 8-9 MAC) held a two-run lead entering the bottom of the seventh, but the Spartans (23-25, 4-13 B1G) plated three to hand EMU its fourth straight loss.

Making her first start in the circle since March 29, sophomore Trisha Trujillo (Whittier, Calif.-California) was lights out. Trujillo tossed six-plus innings, striking out two while allowing just six hits.
