MADEIRA BEACH, Fla. (EMUEagles.com) – Walks and errors proved costly as the Eastern Michigan University softball team dropped its final two games of opening weekend. The Eagles (3-3) squandered an early lead against Quinnipiac University, falling 4-3, in their first game of the day. In its last game of the weekend, a comeback push fell short, as EMU dropped the game, 4-1.

The Bobcats held a 10-7 edge in hits, with seven different Eagles recording a knock.
Quinnipiac struck first, plating one in the first on a sacrifice fly, before EMU evened things up in the bottom half of the frame.
