ST. PAUL, Minn. (EMUEagles.com) – Closing out the weekend against No. 17 Minnesota, the Eastern Michigan University women's soccer team dropped a 3-nil match to the Gophers (4-0-0). Sophomore goalkeeper Kaylin Williams (Kansas City, Mo.-Winnetonka) made four saves in the loss.

The Eagles spent much of the first half in their defensive third as Minnesota maintained constant pressure on the EMU back line. A close call in the eighth minute pinged off the post before the Gophers gained a 1-nil advantage in the 12th minute. After a Minnesota midfielder collided with an Eagle, a cross to the back post was headed into the back of the net, giving EMU a 1-0 deficit.
