EAST LANSING, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) - On a humid summer afternoon turned to rain, the Eastern Michigan University soccer team dropped its first road match of the regular season to Michigan State by a score of 3-0 today, Aug. 22, in East Lansing.
"We gave a better effort than our previous match," Head Coach Scott Hall said postgame. "The defensive effort was great. We were a little unlucky, had an unlucky penalty in the box and a possible foul giving Michigan State a free kick opportunity. We have to learn from this and get better on the attacking side, but I believe we are making progress.
