CLEVELAND, Ohio (EMUEagles.com) -- The Eastern Michigan University women's basketball team saw redshirt sophomore forward Ce'Nara Skanes (Oklahoma City, Okla.-Putnam City West (Florida International)) named the Mid-American Conference Female Scholar Athlete of the Week the league office announced today, Feb. 2.
Skanes made history for the Eagles Saturday, Jan. 29. The Oklahoma City, Okla. native recorded 21 points and 10 rebounds on the road, at Miami University, to help lift EMU over the RedHawks, 80-69. In addition to leading the charge in a game that snapped a six-contest losing skid for the Green and White, Skanes also etched her name in the EMU record books.
