School Records Fall at NCAA East First Round Championship

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University men's and women's track and field teams had 11 athletes compete at the NCAA East First Round Championship hosted by the University of North Florida and the Eagles broke a pair of school records to close out the season.

Angel Gazaway (Cincinnati, Ohio-Princeton) shattered the school record in the first round of the 100 hurdles with a time of 13:05 to place 12th and advance to the quarterfinals. Lela V. Nelson held the record with a time of 12.
