TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (EMUEagles.com) – Following a week-long training trip to the Heart of Dixie, the Eastern Michigan University rowing team began its spring racing slate against the University of Alabama and Southern Methodist University with three top-three finishes today, Feb. 29.
"We had a really good week of training in Alabama," said Head Coach Kemp Savage. "We covered a lot of miles and did a lot of selection work throughout the week, so we were definitely a little fatigued heading into racing. Despite that fact, we saw massive improvements in the gaps between ourselves and Alabama.
