YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) — With the Eastern Michigan University softball team opening play this weekend, it is time to take an in-depth look at the 2017 Eagles. In her fourth season at the helm, Melissa Gentile is set to guide her team back to the postseason for the first time since 2011 and build upon last season's 19-32 overall record.
Following the loss of six players to graduation, three of which were starters, the Green and White will rely on a roster full of youth in 2017. This season's squad features four seniors, four juniors, six sophomores, and five freshmen.
