CLEVELAND, Ohio (EMUEagles.com) — Eastern Michigan University redshirt senior outfielder Jordan Peterson (Gilbert, Ariz.-Highland (Chandler-Gilbert C.C.)) was named the Mid-American Conference West Division Baseball Player of the Week, the conference announced, May 15. It is the fifth weekly award earned by an EMU player this season, and the first for a position player.
Peterson had a monster game in the 14-3 sweep clinching victory over NIU, May 14. The outfielder finished the day with four hits, three home runs and a double, while setting the EMU program record for RBIs in a single game with nine.
