MUNCIE, Ind. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University baseball team had an offensive explosion in the series opener against Ball State University, but it was not enough in a 10-7 defeat Friday, May 6 at Ball Diamond. The Eagles finished with 11 hits on the afternoon, marking the fifth double digit hit game for EMU in the last eight games.
The 11 hits were spread out among seven EMU starters. Junior John Montgomery (Anaheim Hills, Calif.-JSerra) had the biggest game, going 2-for-4 with his third home run of the season, and two RBI's.
