PORT CLINTON, Ohio (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University women's golf team capped off the Rocket Classic today, Oct. 11, by shooting a third round 302 to finish fifth overall with a total score of 926. Senior Kelsey Murphy (Plymouth, Mich.-Plymouth) had a fantastic day three, finishing with a third-round 69, which was the best among all competitors.
Murphy led the Eastern Michigan contingent, finishing second overall after totaling a 220 (76-75-69). Junior Thelma Beck (Baden, France-Lycee Sainte Anne) managed to improve on her day-one score by five strokes, shooting a 75 on the final day to finish in a tie for 26th with a 235 (80-80-75).
