AUSTIN, Texas (EMUEagles.com) – Eastern Michigan University baseball senior Mike Monahan (Saline, Mich.-Saline) was tabbed with an incredible honor today, July 29, when he was named to the Academic All-America® Division I baseball team by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
One of only 33 players nationally, and the only player in the Mid-American Conference, to earn Academic All-American status in 2020-21, Monahan was named to the list as a second teamer. He is just the sixth player in EMU baseball history to earn Academic All-America® distinction, the first since John Rubino was named to the third team in 2015.
