CLEVELAND, Ohio (EMUEagles.com) - Eastern Michigan University senior Sydney Meyers (Zionsville, Ind.-Zionsville Community) of the women's cross country team was named the Mid-American Conference Scholar Athlete of the Week for the period ending Nov. 11. She reeled in the weekly award after her performance at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional, Nov. 10, and is the second Eagle to garner the honor this season.
Meyers continued her impressive final cross country season donning the Green and White at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional. There, she paced the Eagles with a 10th-place finish (20:47), besting the likes of some of the country's top talent.
