Men's Hoops Opens Season with Win Over Rochester

YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University men's basketball team came out slow to start its 2018-19 opener, but recovered in the end to turn aside Rochester College, 77-67, Tuesday, Nov. 6 in the Convocation Center.

EMU (1-0) struggled to separate from Rochester (4-2) out of the gate, and even trailed with 5:31 to go. Fortunately for the Green and White, the Eagles outscored the Warriors 11-4 over the final five minutes to secure the victory.

Redshirt senior Paul Jackson (Stone Mountain, Ga.-Martin Luther King Jr. (Eastern Kentucky)) led the way for Eastern with a career-high 27 points, as well as a game-high seven assists.
