GOODYEAR, Ariz. (EMUEagles.com) – Battling considerable rain and wind, the Eastern Michigan University men's golf team wrapped up day one of the Loyola Intercollegiate in a three-way tie for sixth-place on the par 72, 7,015-yard Palm Valley Golf Club. The Green and White along with Air Force, and Bucknell weathered the storm to shoot a 292, as the weather pattern brought up to an inch of rain across the Valley.
Junior Ty Celone (Long Sault, Ontario, Canada-St Joseph's Catholic) notched his 28th career round of par-or-better with a 71 on the day.
