DADE CITY, Fla. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University men's golf team opened its spring season on Monday, Feb. 12, by posting an 1-0-1 record at the Seventh Annual Earl Yestingsmeier Match Play on the par 72, 7,153 yard Lake Jovita Golf Course. The No. 2 seed Eagles knocked off seventh-seeded Ohio, 4-2, in the opening round before falling to No. 3 seed Toledo on tiebreakers.
Schools are competing in teams of six with the seeds determined by their current GolfStat rankings. Each of the six matches is worth one point to the winner.
