Men's Golf Treks South for Louisville Cardinal Challenge

YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) — The Eastern Michigan University men's golf team returns to the fairway this weekend, Sept. 29-Oct. 1, at the Cardinal Challenge hosted by the University of Louisville. The invitational will be held on the par-72, 7,192-yard University of Louisville Golf Cub with the Eagles playing one round beginning at 9 a.m. on each of the three days.

The 13-team field includes host Louisville, DePaul, East Tennessee State, Eastern Kentucky, Jacksonville State, Lamar, Louisiana-Lafayette, Louisiana-Monroe, Miami (Ohio), Southeastern Louisiana, Stephen F. Austin, and Winthrop.

Initially built by University Clubs of America, the course opened in 2001 and was operated as the Cardinal Club until 2014 when it was purchased by the University.
