YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) - Senior swimmer Logan Burton (Chesapeake, Va.-Hickory) of the Eastern Michigan University men's swimming and diving team picked up Mid-American Conference Swimmer of the Week honors for his performance against Oakland University, Nov. 11, the league office announced Thursday, Nov. 16.
Burton paced Eastern in its 193-107 win over Oakland, bringing in 18 points with two individual event wins and a first and second-place finish in relays. In the 200 medley relay, the Chesapeake, Va. native started the meet off in style, clocking in with the fastest 50 yard backstroke split in the pool to help the foursome to a second-place finish.
