Leatiota Named To Polynesian Player Of The Year Watch List

HONOLULU, Hawai'i (EMUEagles.com) - For the second consecutive season, senior Jimmy Leatiota (San Jose, Calif.-Wilcox (College of San Mateo)) has been named to the preseason watch list for Polynesian College Football Player of the Year Award, the Polynesian Football Hall of Fame announced today, Aug. 9.

Leatiota is the only Mid-American Conference representative named to the 50-man watch list.

The San Jose, Calif. native has been a stalwart on the EMU offensive line since his arriving on campus. A candidate for the 2018 Outland Trophy, he helped anchor an overhauled offensive line at right guard that ranked second in the MAC and 28th nationally in the fewest sacks given up in 2017.
