SYRACUSE, N.Y. (EMUEagles.com) – In a match that saw all three goals in the final 26 minutes, the Eastern Michigan University soccer team fell to Syracuse by a score of 2-1 on Sunday afternoon, Aug. 29, inside SU Soccer Stadium.
Freshman Maddie O'Farrell (Haslett, Mich.-Lansing Catholic) tallied the Eagles' score in the matinee, but it was not enough for the Green and White as the Orange scored twice in the final 18 minutes to take the victory.
In a game of firsts, O'Farrell recorded her first career goal and EMU's first goal of the 2021 campaign in the first-ever contest between Syracuse and Eastern Michigan.
