YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – Behind a stellar, sub-par performance from junior Anna Watson (Ashland, Ohio-Ashland), the Eastern Michigan University women's golf team surged up the leaderboard after posting the lowest team score of the day at 305 Tuesday, Oct. 4, at the Fifth Annual Shirley Spork Invitational. EMU entered the day in fifth, but strong play pushed the squad into a tie for second place with a two-day total of 922 (313-304-305).
Central Michigan University cruised to the team title by 20 strokes, finishing with a 54-hole mark of 902 (302-295-305).
